Very helpful interview, Eugene. I listened to this interview because I wanted to see, before donating to BTJ, whether BTJ would slander the Catholic faith. I am Catholic, and believe the claim of Catholicism to being the authentic (i.e., ‘from the author’) faith received, but having read Brother Yun’s story (The Heavenly Man), I consider the movements he is engaged in among the best way I know of to help the cause of the Gospel. A very thoughtful and even handed reflection on the power of the gospel and the experience of the gospel in the context of ‘institutional religion’.. Thank you, Mark Dillon, Honolulu.
This is so great. As an ex-catholic and a long time protestant, it helped me answer some of my biggest beefs with both churches. It also helped me to see why I have been unhappy chasing after God’s approval, which I already have. Thank you ☺️
