Since Polymarket opened, traders have wagered over $100,000 on one single question – Will Jesus Return in 2027?
Polymarket is an American cryptocurrency-based prediction market offering a platform where individuals can place bets on future outcomes of almost anything, including elections, sports matches, economic indicators, weather patterns, military conflicts and yes – even biblical prophecy.
Interestingly enough, Polymarket is a great indicator of things that will happen even when opinion polls contradict the numbers. The primary reason is people are more likely to research their opinions when their own money is involved. For instance, almost all opinion polls in the United States indicated that Kamala Harris would win the presidency. However, when asked to put their money on Kamala Harris winning the presidency, investors were less confident. Those who put their money on the line in Polymarket put it on Trump. On election night, the polls were wrong and Polymarket investors were right!
It turns out there are investors around the world who are putting their money on Jesus returning in 2027 and the odds are turning in their favor.
The market traded as high as 5% odds of Jesus returning this year! The insane irony on this bet however is if the investors are right then they would only get paid their winnings if they were not raptured up with Jesus when he returns.
However, if you are laughing at the idea of Jesus returning this year and are confident He won’t, then you could place a bet that Jesus Christ will not return before 2027 and earn over $13,000 in the current Polymarket odds.
The good news is Jesus was very clear about when He would return again. He doesn’t need odds from Polymarket to help Him predict. He told us the answer to this question in Matthew 24:14, “And this Gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”
