China has shocked the world by unveiling the most human-like robot to ever be produced.
Xpeng, China’s electric vehicle company, stunned everyone when they introduced its new humanoid robot, Iron. The robot seemed so lifelike that social media erupted with critics thinking there was a human inside, so Xpeng cut the robot open live on stage to prove it wasn’t just a human wearing a robot suit.
At the much anticipated AI event in Guangzhou, China, where Iron is made, China showed the world what they are capable of.
This has been of particular concern because of the way that AI has been used to persecute Christians.
Last month, more than 30 pastors and Christian leaders were arrested for “spreading religious information on the internet.” The crime was not for hosting a website or having online meetings, but for Christians who sent personal private messages to one another that were more than likely recognized, monitored, and reported by AI assisted mechanisms.
With the release of such sophisticated AI robots in China, it is feared that it is only a matter of time before the robots might be weaponized against the underground church.
