Christians around the world have been praying for the church in Iran. Naghmeh Panahi, whose story can be found in the book I DIDN’T SURVIVE has been working to send special letters from Christian families to the underground church to let them know believers are praying for them.
Here is one of the letters Naghmeh received this morning from the underground church in Iran:
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, With a heart full of gratitude and love, I thank you for your encouraging words, powerful prayers, and unwavering love. Receiving these messages from you dear ones was like a light shining in the darkness and refreshing our soul. With your prayers and sweet reminders, you reminded us of the endless love of our Heavenly Father. How beautiful it is that we are united in Christ, and wherever we are, our prayers touch each other. We believe that God is with us; in hardships, in joys, and in every step we take.
Your love is an example of the same unconditional love of Christ that has bound us together. May we be more rooted in the presence of the Lord day by day, become stronger in our faith, and be faithful witnesses for His kingdom like a shining lamp.
In closing, we would like to offer a prayer from the bottom of our hearts:
Heavenly Father,
We come to you with a heart full of gratitude for your children across the globe. For our sisters and brothers in Christ who have touched our hearts with your love.
Bless their lives, their families, and their ministry. Smooth their path wherever they walk and be their light in the darkness. If they have a wound in their heart, heal them. If they have a burden, lighten them. In times of joy, make their joy complete and in times of sorrow, be their comfort.
May they continue to be a light to others through your strength.
