Letters from Leaders
In December 2024, BTJ received hand written letters from the top leaders of three underground house church networks. The three letters represented the leaders from Blessing Network, The China Gospel Fellowship, and The Truth Fellowship.
Together, these three churches represent more than 30 million Christians.
Below is a brief caption of the letters’ primary content.
Letter from a leader in Blessing Network:
“The persecution has really made the house church become a house church again, as we are
forced to meet in small groups. The number of workers (leaders/preachers) has increased,
because the number of meeting places has increased as the larger groups have been split into
smaller gatherings. We are seeing great miracles, for example, a local church had 20 people
with cancer and all 20 were healed. Praise God. So do not worry about us. We have grown
up. We have learned how to adapt to this new difficult environment.”Letter from a leader in Truth Network:
“As the situation becomes more restrictive, it is very difficult for us to see each other and
you very often. We are so thankful for the support sent for Bibles and for our coworkers on
the field. We have missionaries in about 20 countries now. We have never forgotten your
love and encouragement. We always pray for you.”
Letter from a leader in China Gospel Fellowship:
“As the persecution has increased over the last few years, we have began to hold many of
our meetings online. It is very painful for us that we cannot take care of our missionaries on
the field in about 10 countries. These countries are too hard for us to get into.”These letters give insight into the challenges and goals of the underground house church in China. The primary focus on all three underground house church networks however was on the need for Bibles.
