Living Stone Reformed Church is an underground house church in Anhui Province. Last year, the church was raided and several leaders were arrested. First, the charges against them were for “illegal business practices,” but now have been changed to fraud, because the church took up an offering.
18 months later, the believers are still in prison.
Members often met in the home of Li Xiuying who wrote details about the case last year, “Our family has been serving and welcoming others for so many years. How come now, if the church is not registered, we can’t gather, we can’t preach, and if we collect voluntary offerings, it becomes fraud?”
China has kept the believers in prison without a trial. The first trial was set for this week, but Living Stone Church just sent out this update on social media saying:

To All Churches in Christ – Greetings in Christ’s name:
Since their arrest on April 11, 2023, four brothers and sister from Living Stone Church continue to remain in police detention. They have been accused of ‘fraud.’
We would like to thank all of our Christian friends for their prayers and support for these brothers and sisters in detention.
Their trial was originally scheduled for this week, September 27-30, but the courts have canceled the trials for unknown reasons. We are now awaiting the new schedule. Once we know the schedule, we will inform you.
