Urgent help is needed after a deadly earthquake struck Afghanistan. About 1,000 people have been reportedly killed in a deadly earthquake, according to our missionaries on the ground.
At least 800 have died according to international reports and more than 1,300 others injured in the 6.0-magnitude earthquake.
Taliban officials are in no position to provide help and have made it almost impossible for other NGOs to provide aid. The earthquake struck 17 miles from the eastern city of Jalalabad, near the border with Pakistan.
The earthquake hit a remote mountainous area making it difficult to know exactly how many people were killed, but BTJ missionaries are providing urgent help. “We need help,” wrote one missionary today from Afghanistan.
From now until the 15th of September, 100% of everything that is donated to BTJ DISASTER RELIEF will go directly to the front lines in Afghanistan. Every little bit helps.
