President Trump announced in a speech yesterday that the United States would destroy every bridge and energy plan if Iran does not accept a ceasefire deal by midnight tonight.
“We have a plan where every bridge, every power plant in Iran will be out of business, burning, exploding, and never to be used again. I mean, complete demolition. By twelve o’clock. And it will happen over the course of four hours, if we want to.”
As President Trump was making the announcement, Israel struck Iran’s largest petrochemical facility in Asaluyeh, inflicting major economic damage and shutting down a significant share of the country’s export capacity.
The Iranian government does not seem concerned about the threat against their country. Their Islamic theology is stronger than their desire to protect their own people. Sadly, the Iranian government killed more of their own people in the month of January than the war has killed since it began.
The Israeli military also announced during Trump’s speech that they killed General Majid Khademi, head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards’ intelligence organization, in a precision strike in Tehran.
Iranian Christians inside the country continue to ask for prayer and are suffering from the fatigue of war. This is why BTJ has been sending support since the beginning of the war to help Christian families trying to survive inside the country.
It is extremely difficult to communicate with the church inside at the moment because the infrastructure has been destroyed. Even the government officials are having a hard time during negotiations because of lack of communication channels.
