Christians in Wuhan Plead for Prayer as Deadly Virus Spreads
A new deadly virus known as the coronavirus has infected at least 1,400 people in China, killing at least 41.
At the center of the epidemic is the city of Wuhan. Wuhan is the largest city in central China with 11-15 million citizens.
To contain this virus, China has shut down the city of Wuhan. The airport has been shut down and people are restricted from leaving or driving into the city. Schools, non-essential government offices, and most businesses have been closed.
Christians are reporting challenges with lack of public services such as electricity, water, etc. There are problems buying food, supplies, baby formula, etc.
The situation is desperate. The church has sent out a letter to the world Christian body asking for prayer.

A public prayer letter from the Wuhan Church, asking the Chinese Church to pray urgently!
God full of compassion and mercy, we lay prostrate before you and confess our sin. We have sinned against you, our city, our country, our compatriots, and we ourselves are short of Your glory.
Wuhan and the surrounding cities have now been closed, and the spread of the virus has exceeded our capacity. The city is surrounded by the shadow of death. We, the covenant people who have received great grace, cry out to You oh Lord, asking You to forgive us for our pride, and ignorance. Our neglect has created this global disaster. Today, we repent for our sins. Please purify our hearts.
Save us oh Lord from this great calamity. Forgive our sins and transgressions. Save us from disaster. You are the only one who can save us.
Help us not to hide ourselves, but may we have a strong sense of social responsibility to serve the elderly and the children.
We send special prayers for the protection of those living in poverty in the countryside villages.
We pray for our fellow citizens of the city of Wuhan to prevent the spread of this virus. May they no longer take this situation lightly.
We pray to you Almighty Lord, to send warm weather so that this virus has no hospitable environment in which to live.
We pray that You provide protection over the other cities as well.
Oh Lord, we remember the healthcare workers in particular. Protect them as they serve the sick.

Prayer for mercy must also be matched by acts of mercy/compassion. Denounce animal slaughter and adopt the diet God has given for human beings, one based on plants, herbs and seeds, and NOT flesh and blood.
So how do you explain God sending Quail into the desert for the Children of Israel to eat while fleeing from the Egyptians, the daily animal sacrifices and the priest eating the meat of those sacrifices.
How do you explain Jesus giving of the fish in the feeding of the 5,000 and 4,000 and on the lake shores with his disciples. How do you explain Romans 14, especially verse 2 “One person believes he may eat anything, while one who is weak eats only vegetables” Then verse 3 One who eats must not look down on one who does not eat, and one who does not eat must not judge one who does, because God has accepted him. Read the whole chapter, it just keeps getting better as it talks about not offending by what we eat or don’t eat. It talks about everything is clean to eat, but where it becomes wrong is when a weaker brother is offended by someone else’s freedom, and in that case the stronger believer should abstain from anything that is offensive to the weaker believer. Then it tells us to keep between yourself and God whatever you believe on these things (verse 22).
You should feel a bit ashamed of yourself right now, as the church in China is on fire, laying down all their rights, freedoms, and even their lives for the sake of the gospel. They are the stronger brothers, we are the weaker ones. We should be asking them to pray for us that God would have mercy on us. The church in China would gladly give up the eating of meat if it meant that we would find freedom in Christ, they would gladly give up meat in order to see the world reached with the gospel. In fact, they are giving up much more than meat for the sake of the gospel. We must ask ourselves, what are we giving up for the sake of the gospel? What are we willing to do to keep from offending or casting judgment upon our fellow brothers and sisters? Where is our faith and walk with Christ, where is our freedom?
Please do not politicize the situation in Wuhan based upon your own political views. Please, lets set these to the side and lets join with our brothers and sisters in Wuhan in prayer. Lets examine our own lives and hearts and come before the Lord in repentance from our own sins, so that God will begin to heal our lands and cleans us from the sins we have fallen into. Answer: Various outbreaks of pandemic diseases, such as Ebola or the coronavirus, have prompted many to ask why God allows—or even causes—pandemic diseases and whether such illnesses are a sign of the end times. The Bible, particularly the Old Testament, describes numerous occasions when God brought plagues and diseases on His people and on His enemies “to make you see my power” (Exodus 9:14, 16). He used plagues on Egypt to force Pharaoh to free the Israelites from bondage, while sparing His people from being affected by them (Exodus 12:13; 15:26), thus indicating His sovereign control over diseases and other afflictions.
God also warned His people of the consequences of disobedience, including plagues (Leviticus 26:21, 25). On two occasions, God destroyed 14,700 people and 24,000 people for various acts of disobedience (Numbers 16:49 and 25:9). After giving the Mosaic Law, God commanded the people to obey it or suffer many evils, including something that sounds like Ebola: “The Lord will strike you with wasting disease, with fever and inflammation . . . which will plague you until you perish” (Deuteronomy 28:22). 我不想當英雄。
我還有爹娘，
還有孩子，

還有許多的病人在病房。
盡管正直換不來善良，

I have been praying for the people of Wuhan all along. I now pray for the people of all countries. What really touched me in one video was people in Wuhan calling out windows to one another to “Fight, Wuhan, Fight.” My love and prayers to all.
Our LORD JESUS CHRISTY, the greatest Saviour, is the greatest healer of all!! Dwell in Him and believe in Him with all your heart because there is absolutely nothing impossible with Him!! For those who haven’t yet, it is never too late. Turn to Him and invoke His name. He is all good, compassionate, loving and most forgiving. JESUS CHRIST heals!!
We pray for all the people of Huwan and all those affected by the Corona Virus. Let us entrust everything to our greatest Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ. He answers prayers and He is the only one who can make everything possible Call on His MIGHTY NAME…… His love and faithfulness is everlasting!!!

This is the time to turn to God and seek deliverance. Seek Ye the kingdom of God. Knock and Ye shall enter. Christians stand fast pass the test of faith and endurance. Our prayers are with the sick and the suffering. Let us not stand wringing our hands dressed in sack cloth. Assist those in need if you can physically and provide comforting words with your Bible on hand. Put on Gods armour and prepare for the season ahead.
