Pastors from China’s most western Province of Xinjiang are asking for prayer regarding Christian leaders who are ‘disappearing.’ An underground church in Xinjiang had to cancel meetings this month due to arrests that have taken place and the increase in intensified raids on churches all over China.
Christian leaders like those in Xinjiang are literally disappearing in China as believers are being arrested and taken to black jails.
Black jails are locations that are not on the books. They are secret rooms used to detain prisoners without formal charges, trial, or legal recourse. Recently, several Christian leaders have been arrested and held for long periods of time in unknown locations without formal charges.
Their families are not told where they are. They are not allowed access to any lawyers or legal representation. And when necessary, the Chinese government can officially deny that they even have anyone in custody.
The underground church in Xinjiang is not alone. Over the past year, the CCP has intensified the number of raids and arrests of underground house churches. Surveillance, interrogations, and unfair prosecutions have all dramatically increased.
Some Christian leaders get international attention. Others do not.
Last year, Zion Church was raided and their leaders were taken to undisclosed locations before getting access to family and legal representation. They went for months before they even knew what they were being charged with.
Members of the Early Rain Covenant Church faced the same thing, with raids and arrests and members being dragged away to undisclosed locations – black jails.
The pastors of Xinjiang Church, Zion Church, and Early Rain Covenant Church need your prayers this week for their leaders who are currently sitting in prison.

That sounds amazing
