Chinese Pastor Shares Warning as Support for Communism in America Increases

As support for Communism increases during the election cycle in the United States, one US Congresswoman brings in Chinese Pastor Ezra Jin to share his story as a survivor of persecution under the Communist Party of China.

US Congresswoman Lisa McClain (R-Mich.) hosted “A Warning to America: Stories from Survivors of Communism,” a roundtable discussion featuring survivors of communist regimes like Pastor Ezra Jin.

Pastor Ezra Jin was arrested and thrown into prison for his faith in October of last year, but was released after President Xi had a meeting with US President Trump earlier this year. He was able to share first hand accounts of what life is like for every day Christians under Communist rule.

“Today isn’t about political theory or academic debate. It’s about real people who lived under communism, suffered under communism, and found the courage to escape it,” Congresswoman Lisa said before adding, “America is being told a dangerous lie. We are told communism has never really been tried. Communism has been tried. It has failed every single time. And it has left behind poverty, repression, bloodshed, and broken nations.”

Congresswoman Lisa McClain invited Pastor Ezra Jin to share about his experiences of being persecuted for his faith so that Americans can hear first hand what happens when Communists come to power. This is a subject that is dear to her heart as there is a wave of Communism currently sweeping through Michigan right now.

A recent study found that one fifth of Americans now have a favorable view of Communism and that number is growing quickly.

Pastor Ezra Jin also spent time sharing with Senator Ted Cruz about his experience as a Christian in China.
