China Hosts Anti-House-Church Celebrations

China Communist Party hosts anti-religious celebration as a New Year’s party to ring in the New Year.

In a brand new attempt to attack Christianity with Chinese propaganda, the CCP in Tongshan County, Hubei, organized a festive gathering to incite citizens to fight “xie jiao” (illegal religion) and to promote “science.”

According to a report, on January 1, a crowded Fengchi Square in Tonyang Town, Tongshan County hosted an “educational performance” organized by the Tongyang Town CCP Committee, the Tongyang Town People’s Government, and the Tongshan County Anti-Xie-Jiao Association.

Before the performance, Ruan Yingyou, Secretary of the Tongyang Town CCP Committee, expressed gratitude to leaders, community members, and residents for supporting the “good fight.”

A large celebration to ring in the year 2025 hosted multiple performers and speakers to entertain people while also telling them to fight against ‘illegal religion’ like the underground house church of China.

Many Christians in China refuse to register with the official church in China, meaning that they can only fellowship illegally. The unregistered churches in China, also known as the underground house church, represents the largest number of Christians in China today. Only a fraction of the Christians in China have registered with the government. This has caused concern in the Communist Party, which is one reason why China has launched these kind of propaganda campaigns against the house church.
