BTJ’s “SHACKLED” WINS TOP BOOK AWARD

This week, in Nashville Tennessee, the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (ECPA) announced the winners of the 2023 Christian Awards and BTJ’s latest book, SHACKLED, won the top award for best Audiobook!
SHACKLED was a finalist in two separate categories and, during the event, won the top spot for one of them.
The ECPA has been honoring the top Christian literature since 1978 and this week was a great moment to highlight the amazing story of Mariam Ibraheem. As we prepare for mother’s day, Mariam’s story reminds us of what mothers all around the world have to face in dark nations.
Mariam was forced to give birth in prison while chained in shackles. She did not have the proper medical equipment available for a safe birth. Mariam died during the birthing process, but miraculously came back to life.
THIS MOTHER’S DAY, you can help a mother who will be forced to give birth in a dangerous situation. You can help save the life of a mother and her baby by providing an Emergency Delivery Kit. Women living in extreme poverty are often forced to give birth in horrible conditions with little or no supplies.
For almost three decades, BTJ has been working in disaster areas, war zones, and areas struck with extreme poverty. Women and children are often the first to fall victim; that is why BTJ missionaries have been providing aid, supplies, and even training beside midwives who deliver babies in remote areas of the world.
Fewer things bring more joy than the birth of a new baby and few things can cause more challenges than the complications of giving birth in an environment where supplies are simply not available.
On this Mother’s Day, FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER, BTJ is providing Emergency Delivery Kits for mothers and their babies. These unique kits, put together by BTJ’s special on-staff medical doctor, contain the essential supplies needed to prevent infection during childbirth – one of the leading causes of maternal mortality globally.
Mariam and her baby survived, but so many do not.
Mariam’s triumphant testimony for her faith in Christ, while protecting her children in prison and facing certain death, is a story of strength, sacrifice, and hope.
If you haven’t heard Mariam’s story, the audiobook format is perhaps one of the most dramatic ways to learn about her experience. You can purchase the book by clicking here, or the audiobook by clicking here.
