Brother Yun Visits Believers from Bhutan

In 2019, one month before the global lockdown, Brother Yun and Uncle Ren visited a group of Pastors and young leaders from Bhutan. One of the churches they visited included members of Miss L’s church. The authorities are very strict with the practitioners of all religions except Buddhism, which is the state’s religion. Christians are neglected in Bhutan, and struggle to come out of their poverty.

A Bhutanese Pastor and his wife decided, though they had limited resources, that they would adopt 6 children. The Bhutanese Pastor and his wife found that although education is free, balancing the family, ministry, and providing a peaceful atmosphere for study, is not. Back to Jerusalem (BTJ) was able to send some financial help to provide food for the believers and leaders who were struggling due to the lockdown.

A few months ago, while exchanging prayer requests, Miss L’s request for higher studies came up. The church leadership agreed to help. The paperwork that was needed and the hoops we had to jump through were unexpectedly difficult, but we completed it. It was a long distance for her to travel, but the elders decided to send the student alone, to save on expenses.

To support our sister, a prayer campaign was initiated. We were praying for her safety because the authorities can cancel their permission any time they choose, and the route that was chosen is notorious for human traffickers. A lone traveler is an easy target, and traffickers are constantly looking for new carriers. However, God graciously protected our sister from all trouble.

Interestingly, she got a golden opportunity to share the Gospel on this long journey. While traveling, a fellow traveler asked Miss.L to chant Buddhist mantras for safety. As a result, Miss.L started sharing her testimony. She told of how a miraculous healing from God led her family to stop chanting meaningless mantras. Instead, they started talking to the living God, Jesus.

Please pray that the seeds Miss L. has sown during this trip may bring souls to the Kingdom, and pray for the successful completion of her studies.

I am a Messianic Jewish believer that felt the tug of the L-rd towards the unreached. I decided I would go to China. My love for the Chinese people grew while I was there, but when I learned of the Back to Jerusalem movement, I knew the L-rd wanted me to be proclaiming His gospel message to the unreached people between China and Jerusalem. Let’s unite and complete the great commission. We need to accept the challenge Jesus has given us so that we can feel the exhilaration of victory.
