BACK IN BUSINESS – An Answer to Prayer in China

BTJ wants to say a huge thank you to all of our supporters and prayer partners. 2020 was packed with a whirlwind of many changes in China, but after a great meeting with the Chinese underground house church pastors, BTJ has found new ways to operate and continue sharing the Gospel of Christ.

It was not without challenges, but God provided a way for the BTJ team to meet face-to-face with the Chinese pastors and it was simply amazing.

Here are just a few answers to prayer:

Chinese Evangelists in Western China – BTJ supports 210 full time evangelists in Western China, but in 2020 much of the communication stopped. For security, all electronic communication was cut between Chinese leaders and evangelists on the ground until safe face-to-face meetings could be established. Without communication, it was impossible to know whether the evangelists were still serving on the field or had returned home due to the pandemic.

Miraculously, once communication was re-established, we learned that all 210 full time evangelists were not only still serving on the field, but because of their fruitful service, the number of evangelists had increased more than 50% in 2020!

Bible Printing and Distribution – China has been aggressively raiding churches and burning confiscated Bibles, creating an even greater need for more Bibles. However, due to the pandemic lockdowns in China, we were not certain that it would be possible to replace those Bibles because of the increased challenges with printing and distributing. Unfortunately for the Chinese government, the Chinese pastors have found new and exciting ways to print and distribute Bibles in China – EVEN DURING LOCKDOWN!

Funding – China has taken a hard turn towards a cashless society and this has made funding missionaries much more difficult than it was in the past. Banking is one of the biggest challenges facing the growing church in closed countries today, but praise the Lord, BTJ has found a new way to fund the operations even during the banking crackdown in China.

Against all odds, more projects have been initiated this year in China for more missionaries, more Bible printing, and distribution of more financial support than in the years past. This is truly a miraculous answer to prayer.

BTJ would like to send a special thank you to all of our partners and supporters and encourage our friends to continue praying for the underground house church of China.

Dr. Eugene Bach is a known trouble-maker with an active imagination and sinful past. He has a PhD, but is not a real doctor, so please do not call for him during a medical emergency on an airplane when someone is having a heart attack. Eugene started working for Back to Jerusalem in the year 2000 after a backroom deal involving Chinese spies, the NRA, Swiss bankers, and a small group of Apostolic Christians that only baptize in Jesus’ name. He spends most of his time in closed countries attempting to topple governments by proclaiming the name of Jesus and not taking showers. From time-to-time he pretends to be a writer. He is not good at it, but everyone around him tries to humor him.
