An INSIDE North Korea YouTube Channel that Christians NEED to Know About

Times are indeed changing, and this is great news for Christians praying for North Korea. With a brand new YouTube channel in English, now North Korea is easy for Christians around the world to watch, follow, and pray for.

Everything that you see on North Korea’s channel will indeed be propaganda, so do not plan to see any information about the hardship and misery that regular people are seeing every day. However, you will get some insight from the inside.

The good news is that the propaganda comes in a much friendlier digestible 2.0 package. This is in stark contrast to the propaganda released by state media in the past, where news anchors screamed bombastic slogans and ‘death to America’ at the screen.

The name of the YouTube channel is called Echo of Truth and since 2017 they have built up over 21k followers. The channel features a young college-age-looking female presenter named Un A, but her talking points are clearly written out by the government.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, the channel has really gained recognition, because it is one of the few ways in which people can see the nation from the inside, during lock down. North Korea has said repeatedly that they have zero COVID-19 infections. This claim has proven to be false, since several refugees escaping from North Korea into China were found to be infected with the virus.

One will have to keep themselves from laughing out loud when Un A says things like, “I think fake news is the last thing we need in the time of such a fierce battle with COVID-19.” Un A either has a hilarious dry sense of humor, or does not see the irony in her reference to fake news.

In the coming weeks, Back to Jerusalem will be sharing information for prayer points on our new social media platform called If you would like to join BTJ to pray for North Korea, the videos from Echo of Truth can be a help, as well as signing up on DingDash and following along with our prayer posts.

Dr. Eugene Bach is a known trouble-maker with an active imagination and sinful past. He has a PhD, but is not a real doctor, so please do not call for him during a medical emergency on an airplane when someone is having a heart attack. Eugene started working for Back to Jerusalem in the year 2000 after a backroom deal involving Chinese spies, the NRA, Swiss bankers, and a small group of Apostolic Christians that only baptize in Jesus’ name. He spends most of his time in closed countries attempting to topple governments by proclaiming the name of Jesus and not taking showers. From time-to-time he pretends to be a writer. He is not good at it, but everyone around him tries to humor him.
