38 BTJ Missionaries Arrested After Police Raid on Bible School

Missionaries have been fast-tracked to the mission field after a Bible school in western China was raided. “38 mission students were arrested when the police raided our school,” a pastor with Truth Network reported last week. Truth is an underground house church network in Anhui Province with an estimated ten million believers.

“We had two watchmen outside of our Bible school,” the pastor remembers, “but the police were able to sneak up on them and arrest them before they could send any messages to warn the others. After the two men were interrogated for over an hour about the school, the students, and all of the details of the training, a team of about 20 swat team members raided the school.”

All 38 mission students have been since released by the police, but they are not deterred from mission work. “They consider it a part of their training,” the pastor said, while helping arrange two new mission schools in the 10/40 window.

The pastor simply concluded, “Instead of doing our mission training in China, we will be doing it on the mission field!”

Last week, BTJ visited both nations where the undisclosed BTJ missionary training is currently taking place.
