Last week, Chinese police ramped up their persecution against Christians when they conducted dawn raids on churches in several provinces, cutting power, breaking down doors, and arresting believers including 30 pastors and leaders in a house church network known as Zion House Church.
Elderly believers were detained and dragged from their homes, mothers were ripped from their babies, and children were terrorized. These were not raids conducted on drug dealers or terrorist gangs, but on innocent, peaceful, loving Christians, but Chinese police raided the homes in a manner meant to intimidate and terrorize. Among those taken was Pastor Ezra Jin, the founder of Beijing’s Zion House Church.
“We need help,” one Zion Church member, directly connected with the situation wrote to BTJ on Friday. “Urgent finances are needed to help with the legal fees.”
BTJ is responding to the pleas of the persecuted church and needs your help immediately.

At present, a few brothers and sisters have been released or granted bail, but the vast majority of pastors, preachers, and co-workers remain in detention.
In addition, some pastor’s homes have been sealed, their property confiscated or frozen, and their bank accounts suspended. Lawyers ready to help have been barred by the government from helping.
Please keep the families of those detained in prayer. They have been under high mental and emotional stress, physical exhaustion, and great psychological pressure for many days. One of the women arrested has a small infant daughter who has been crying day and night for her mother.
The church members are also asking for specific prayer, “Pray also for the confiscated property and for the legal proceedings.” Many of the Christians are not able to go home, buy food, or access their bank accounts.
BTJ is sending funding through back channels to the church to help in this time of need.
