In another targeted attack on Christians on Sunday, a group of Muslims raided multiple churches in the Kurmin Wali area of Kajuru Local Government, Kaduna State, abducting 172 worshippers during church services.
Reports say Muslims stormed the churches with weapons and violently took the congregants hostage at gun point.
Pictures below of the villages were obtained from social media posts from the area on X.
Reverend John Hayab, Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Northern Nigeria, said 172 worshippers were taken, with nine later escaping, leaving 163 still unaccounted for.
Mainstream media still claims that the violence is not religiously motivated.
